I move around a lot so my muse is constantly changing. Sometimes it’s a building, sometimes a street, sometimes a person.
This summer I’m working in a tiny village in Finland, and there’s one river – the River Kymi – that I keep returning to to photograph again and again (partly because there’s not a lot else to shoot in the area!) It makes a good subject because it looks different at different times of the day and in the changing light. At this time of year the sun never sets completely, so at midnight the sky is still light but filled with different colours that are reflected in the glassy stillness of the water.
